What causes headlights to become hazy, foggy, or become yellow?

Many factors lead to foggy headlights such as:

  • Prolonged exposure to sunlight

  • Oxidation

  • Chemical burns

  • The headlight bulb itself being too hot

Why do my headlights have a bunch of small cracks?

If you've ever looked closely at your headlights and noticed a bunch of small cracks, this phenomenon is called crazing. Crazing is an inconsistency in the polycarbonate of the headlight that is also caused by prolonged sunlight exposure, chemical burns, and the headlight bulb itself. In some cases crazing can become so severe that even though the headlight itself can be restored to a clear finish, the crazing can still be visible in certain conditions.

Why should I get my headlights restored?

  • Getting your headlights restored is more cost effective than buying new headlights

  • Improve safety and nighttime visibility

  • Improve the overall look of your vehicle

  • Same day turn around time
